The questions dealers actually ask.

Not the pitch — the things that come up once someone is seriously considering it. If your question is not here, email [email protected] and you will get a straight answer.

Cost and commitment

What does LotReel cost?

LotReel is priced per rooftop with unlimited users, so adding salespeople never increases the bill. There are three tiers, depending on whether you want automatic inventory sync, price-drop alerts and the manager analytics dashboard. Groups running three or more rooftops get group pricing. How long does it take to get running?

About ten minutes to start. An admin creates the store, loads inventory and creates the salesperson logins; each salesperson records one intro and outro. Vehicles that have not been filmed yet immediately get a video generated from their listing photos, so your team can send from day one while the inventory manager works through the lot.

Using it day to day

Our salespeople are not tech-savvy. Will they actually use it?

The daily task is three steps: open LotReel, type the stock number, copy the link. There is no video editing, no camera to operate, and no filming at all after the one-time intro. The admin does the setup. If someone can send a text message, they can use LotReel.

Do our customers need to download an app?

No. The customer taps the link and the video plays in their browser, the same way a YouTube link does — no app, no account, no login. The link works in SMS, email, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp alike.

Who films the vehicles?

The inventory manager, on the LotReel phone app. Each vehicle is filmed once and uploads instantly, so a car filmed in the morning is sendable minutes later. Salespeople never film vehicles.

What equipment does the inventory manager need?

A phone. The app records the walkaround and uploads it directly — no camera equipment, no editing software, no separate upload step.

Who can create user accounts?

Only an admin. Salespeople cannot register themselves — an admin creates the account and sets the initial password. That keeps access to your inventory and customer data limited to people the store has actually authorised.

What happens when a vehicle sells?

The admin removes that stock number. Any links already sent for it stop working and the stock video can no longer be sent, so nobody is looking at a car you do not have any more.

How it compares

We already post videos on social media. How is this different?

Social video is a broadcast — one video for everyone. LotReel is personal. The customer gets a video with their salesperson's face and name, showing the specific vehicle they asked about. It is the difference between a billboard and a note written to you.

We tried video before and it was too complicated. What is different here?

Most video tools require the salesperson to film something new for every customer. That is the step that stops getting done in week two. With LotReel the salesperson records one intro when their account is created and never films again; vehicle footage is filmed once per car by the inventory team.

How is LotReel different from a general video-messaging tool?

Two things. Coverage: general tools hand you an empty library on day one, while LotReel is filmed once per vehicle and auto-generates video from listing photos for anything not yet filmed — the whole lot is sendable immediately. Price-drop alerts: LotReel watches inventory prices and tells a rep when a vehicle they already sent to a customer comes down, turning an inventory change into a real reason to reconnect with a lead you already paid for.

What if the customer never watches the video?

You will know either way. LotReel reports when a video is opened and what percentage was watched, so nobody is guessing who engaged. The link stays live too, so a customer who does not watch straight away can come back to it.

Can we use LotReel across multiple stores?

Yes. Each dealership has its own account, users and inventory, fully isolated from other stores. Groups running several rooftops get cross-store administration and analytics across all of them, with group pricing.

We will build a real video from a vehicle on your lot and send you the link. No install, nothing to sign.
